Ha ha just wait til you're seen going to an art class that's on the same building as a churh or having coffee wit a friend of the opposite sex. Those are things members here have done and been hounded for by the elders! My hubby does'by care if I have coffee with friends of the opposite sex but apparently the elders do when they wanna df u!!

Nope. I asked hubby late this morning if he was gonna go, and he said probably not. As the time drew nearer, he said, 'why don't we go visit your mother?' So hanging with the in laws is what he wanted to do instead, which thrilled them cuz they aren't JWs and were amazed their son in law would rather be with them than at the meeting!

Good point. I have PTSD and know how debilitating it can be. I thought the ot was more about annoying and disturbing recollections and dreams rather than reliving terror or looping out when something reminds you of it. For instance, I can't watch certain movies and medical shows because they remind me. Hell, even star trek once sent me into a full on PTSD episode! I certainly hope it is more a matter of unpleasant recollections- I by no means wish that, but it's better than PTSD.

Sweet as! My hubby has forgotten the meeting is on at 12 instead of the usual time in the arvo so we could join you if we lived closer. Some elder will call in the morning to 'encourage' hubby to attend like he did last week and blow the ruse most likely.

A lot got miffed over the 1995 or thereabouts change in the generation teaching didn't they? So maybe a lot will leave or just give up over this one too. Maybe in 100 years time the JW phenomenon will be an interesting item of history to study because there'll be hardly anyone left in it.

Bet no one will stick around for the wt study. I pity all you who have to sit thru that, and all the oohs and ahs the brothers and sisters will utter afterwards about how great the talk was and how close to the end we must be. Looking forward to reading a synopsis of it here.
